Portsmouth and Isle of Wight Helicopter Tour

This helicopter tour is not for the feint hearted as you get in touch with your ‘sea legs’.

Your helicopter tour takes you west passing to the southern edge of Dorking en-route to the South Downs taking in the sights of Dunsfold Airfield where Top Gear was filmed then onto the market town of Midhurst where you will see the magnificent ruins of Cowdray House, one of England’s most important early Tudor houses. The ruins are set in the stunning landscape of Cowdray Park. Continuing over the South Downs you will see the Isle of Wight in the distance as you head over Hayling Island on towards the No Mans Land Fort giving you ample time to prepare yourself as your helicopter flies over the Isle of Wight towards the famous Needles and swoops low over the water to view the jagged rocks and lighthouse. As your flight turns back towards the East you will see the harbour at Cowes, the sailing centre and Capital of the island. East of Cowes is Osborne House, which was bought in 1845 by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as their summer home and rural retreat. Your helicopter tour returns across the sea to the home of the British Royal Navy in Portsmouth where the Spinnaker Tower and naval dockyards come into view. Your helicopter flight continues over open countryside heading North East over small villages and market towns such as Chiddingfold, famous for its glassmaking during the reign of Elizabeth 1, there were no fewer than eleven glass works on the green! In the distance is the North Downs and Surrey, this epic trip by helicopter is soon to end, but will be one experience that you will always remember.
