Nearby is Penshurst Place one of the oldest country houses in England occupied since the 13th Century and the ancestral home of the Sidney family since 1552. Your helicopter tour flies onwards to the North Downs and Sevenoaks where you will see Ightham Mote which dates back to the 14th Century. It is the most complete medieval manor house in the country. Sevenoaks provides the splendor of Knowle House. Set in the middle of Knowle Park the house is reputed to be a calendar house having 365 rooms, 52 staircases, 14 entrances and 7 courtyards. As your helicopter tour through the historical ages of Kent begins to come to an end you will see Chartwell, the home of Sir Winston Churchill, England’s famous wartime Prime Minister, before heading west to Gatwick airport in the distance and the confirmation that you are back to modern day times!
